Certified Organic and 100% Grass Fed Beef

At Green Ledge Farm (in beautiful Francestown, NH) we are committed to providing 100% grass FED / 100% grass FINISHED beef.  We are Certified Organic by the New Hampshire Dept. of Agriculture for both our Livestock and our Hay and Pasture Fields.  Our cows eat only certified organic grass and certified organic grass hay during their entire lifetime.

Grass fed and finished cows are happier and healthier than animals fed grain in crowded feedlots.  They have much higher levels of beneficial Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) and omega-3 fatty acids thought to fight cancer, enhance the immune system, and prevent both diabetes and heart disease.  To learn more about the health benefits of grass fed beef, visit Eatwild.com.

Grass fed beef is leaner than feedlot beef and some cuts benefit from cooking with moist heat or marinades.  See our Recipes page for some of our favorite meal ideas.

We sell retail cuts of our beef here at the farm throughout the year.  Click here for our latest retail price list.

We also sell at the Peterborough Farmer's Market on Wednesdays from 3-6 pm during the summer.  This year the market begins on May 19, 2010.

In the fall, we offer a small supply of whole organic broiler chickens for $6/lb (5-7 pounds each) and organic eggs at $4/doz while supplies last.  We encourage farm visitors and if you plan to visit the farm, please call 603-547-3454 for an appointment and to check our inventory levels to see if the cuts you want are in stock.

We maintain an email list for customers who would like to be kept informed about meat availability and other developments at Green Ledge Farm.  If you’d like to be on our email list, please email Larry.

We’ve added a photo gallery to show you some of the sights we enjoy here at the farm.

Enjoy this short video showing life on our farm as viewed by our daughter, Rebecca!
