At Green Ledge Farm (in beautiful
Francestown, NH) we are committed to providing 100% grass FED / 100% grass
FINISHED beef. We are Certified Organic by the
New Hampshire Dept. of Agriculture for both our Livestock and our Hay and
Pasture Fields. Our cows eat only certified organic grass and certified organic
grass hay during their entire lifetime.
Grass fed and finished cows are
happier and healthier than animals fed grain in crowded feedlots. They have
much higher levels of beneficial Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) and omega-3
fatty acids thought to fight cancer, enhance the immune system, and prevent both

Grass fed beef is leaner than
feedlot beef and some cuts benefit from cooking with moist heat or marinades.

We sell beef by the side and as
cuts at retail pricing. Our
2009 side price is set at $4.99/lb at hanging weight. If you have questions about

Due to the demand for our sides of certified organic and 100% grass fed beef we
have maintained a waiting list for the last two years. Unfortunately
for our potential customers there are now so many people waiting for a side that
we must stop adding people to the waiting list. It is unlikely that
people joining the waiting list now would ever get a chance to order a side of
beef for many years. Our existing customers get first chance to reorder
and most of them do reorder.
Because of this demand, we now sell our certified organic and 100% grass fed
beef as cuts at retail prices. We sell here at the farm year round and
at the Peterborough Farmer's Market on Wednesdays from 3-6 pm during the summer.
Visitors to the farm can also currently purchase whole organic broiler chickens
for $6/lb (5-7 pounds each) and organic eggs at $4/doz while supplies last.
